  • Out of my Comfort Zone

    2016-09-19

So we’re back round to September and Autumn again, the summer is over, almost……we may squeeze out one or two more barbeques, but it’s back to school, holidays have been and gone and normality returns and our appointment books get busier again.

I like the new beginnings of September, and this Autumn I’m stepping out of my comfort zone.

  • The impact of pain

    2016-08-15

When we’re in pain, we know it, sometimes it’s temporary and sometimes it is a continuous pain that blights our life.

  • Change is as Good as a Rest

    2016-06-21

They say change is as good as a rest, well it’s been all change here.

As many may have noticed we have moved, we’ve only gone over the border from Somerset to Dorset and some would say we’re now in the middle of no-where, however for us there are many advantages, including easier to receive deliveries without holding up the traffic and the view is stunning.

    2016-03-15

It seems not a day goes by without another Government report or a Health Adviser dictating about or commenting on the Nation’s health.

Ironically we all know what we need to do to become and remain healthy but at the end of the day we don’t do it because we don’t want to do it.

  • Getting information out of patients is like getting blood out of a stone sometimes

    2016-02-10

Apologies for the late blog, I got a bit too much into the hibernation mode, please see previous blog.

Back to today’s thoughts, “Oh, did I forget to mention that, I didn’t think it was important…”, you’re half way through the third treatment, you have done the initial health / medical questionnaire at the consultation stage, you’ve chatted to them about their lifestyle, their habits, their preoccupations, anything that may have a bearing on their symptoms. As experienced therapists we know it is not always the obvious that can kick off a problem and that just by chatting to our patients we find out a lot more.
